Sports betting has become increasingly visible online, appearing across apps, websites, social media, sports coverage and gaming spaces.

Even when young people are not legally old enough to gamble, they may still encounter betting messages through adverts, influencers, tipsters, friends or adult accounts.

Our latest #WakeUpWednesday guide highlights key risks, including:
• Easy online access
• Gambling becoming normalised around sport
• Peer and influencer pressure
• Free bet offers
• Impulsive spending and chasing losses

It also offers practical advice for parents, carers and educators on starting calm conversations, setting safer digital boundaries, spotting warning signs and finding support.

Adventurers went to the Discovery museum in Newcastle yesterday. We took part in a Science experiment building toy cars to investigate friction and how different surfaces affect movement. After the experiment, we walked around the museum and explored many exhibits. We looked at famous inventions from the North East and discovered how they have helped shape the world. We also leaned about our local history, including important people, industries and events. The trip was fun, informative and we had a great time at the museum. Well done Adventurers! ...
