🌟 British Science Week in KS1 🔬🐝🚢
Pathfinders 1 and 2 scientists have been very busy this week taking part in British Science Week! We have been working scientifically to carry out an investigation to answer the question: Why do boats float?
First, we designed and made our own pirate ships. Then we tested them in the water to see if they would float! We used lots of scientific vocabulary and talked about our predictions, our tests and what we observed. It was very exciting to see which pirate ships stayed afloat! 🏴☠️⛵
We have also been learning all about bees and why they are so important. The children asked and answered some brilliant scientific questions, including:
🐝 What is the difference between a bee and a wasp?
🐝 Is beeswax waterproof?
🐝 Why are bees important for our world?
The children showed fantastic curiosity and teamwork, and we had an amazing time exploring, investigating and discovering together! 🌼🔍 ... See MoreSee Less
